For others the PCM or TCCM or BCM are not programmed to respond to request it would appear. (Not of any value to us)įor some data values I have been able to craft an entry for Torque to request data. I have most often seen this to be 01=P, 02=R, 03=N, 09=D, 08=D3, 07=D2, 06=D1, however I have also seen 00 as P under certain circumstances.ĪE is a checksum only. I do not know the official name of this secondary ID parameter "0A" but you are correct that it carries the data of what the current gear selection is to be displayed by the instrument cluster.Ġ1 is the data byte. I would need to look and see if I have the specific address for those.The sample you posted "68 EA 10 0A 01 AE" breaks down as this.ĮA (&EB) are the Primary ID Pair for the functional address for "Displays".ġ0 is the node address of the source of the message, in this case the PCM.ĠA is a secondary ID of the Functional address Primary ID pair of EA & EB, (Displays). ![]() These are not readings from the individual MAP sensors. I would need to check the logs and see if that makes sense though. Again I think the MAP_Measured value is an average of the two MAP sensors, and my best guess is the difference between the two is just related to barometric pressure with one being compensated for deviation from standard atmosphere and one a direct value. I've noticed that MAP usually reads a little higher than MAP Measured, that has been something I have been working on as well as I can't quite figure out exactly the differences between the two. They may be the same thing as I haven't compared the values, but I just prefer to use the audi specific point because it is the point I usually log with so I stuck with it for consistency. What's the difference between MAP and MAP Measured? Are they the two banks you mentioned?CACT is the generic OBD-II point, the IAT here I believe is just an average of the two sensors (which tend to be within a couple degrees of each other). Enjoy.Īs a note, this works for my 2016 SQ5, you would need to verify it is the same address for your vehicle, not sure what happens if it's wrong but Torque provides a general warning since you are sending a command over the CANBUS. You will see I did that for HPFP setpoint/actual value (convert hPa to psi) and for Oil Temp (convert deg C to Deg F). hPa, or deg F vs deg C, just multiply the whole equation by whatever the conversion factor is. ![]() You can see what the Units are, but if you want things in psi vs. Below is a list of the Audi specific PIDs that I entered into Torque under "Settings" and then "Manage extra PIDs/Sensors" and then add custom PIDs. However the standard OBD items available don't cover everything that I wanted to see at least, and others I'm sure want to be able to monitor other stuff as well. I know I use it every time I drive just to get a feel for normal values and generally see that everything is working OK. So I've seen a number of people here that use Torque for monitoring various things. ![]()
